Is it just me or, in the top photo has the girl second from the left stolen Emma Watson’s face? …or maybe that is her. Damn, that’d be just terrible.

I laughed out loud (yes, literally “lol”) when I saw this, especially “Nikolai Tracksuitovich” and his bride. I’m a Russian Major, and in my mind, this couples seems to have asked themselves “what does the world think about Russia right now? Giant outdated opulence and drug-dealing gangster athletes? Sounds like a wedding theme to me”.

What really caught me first was the top picture, as the bride towers above the whole party and either due to the reflection on the pavement or the hemline, she really looks like she’s hovering. Which… honestly, who doesn’t want to do that? Almost, but not quite cancels out the track suit… and mom(?)’s white pocket lined leather jacket. Does she really need that much help finding the pockets and sleeve cuffs? (I’m not a huge fan of dramatic trimming.)

@Rosalie I went to prom with a guy who had a female friend in our 'etnourage' who wore silk jammies to prom. Believde it or not, it was quite well done.

I lived in Russia for a while.

Guy in first picture indeed does not seem to know better – the faces of the people and the shabby “civic records” building in the background both point to a Russian equivalent of a redneck wedding.

The guy in the rest of pictures is probably making an inside joke about his past as a tracksuit-wearing “gansta”. The guy looks too “smart”, the setting is too opulent, and there are suited-up people in the background.

I’m with Rosalie… jammies would be really comfie to get married in. Then you don’t have to worry about wearing high-healed shoes, and you are ready for your honeymoon before you leave the reception. All set!!
