what a cute couple…
Anybody notice the elevator shoes the groom is wearing?
Yes! Awesome!
that groom totally looks like adrian pasar (heroes)
They might not be the most attractive couple but I think the wedding dress is beautiful, (wings and all), and together they look freekin’ awesome.
i totally agree i love the dress, not into fairy wings but the dress is cool, and the groom i reckon looks pretty awesome too, right down to the creepers! i think kilts are pretty hot on guys!!
is that a handcuff I see dangling beneath her bouquet???
It’s a horseshoe…
I’m loving the whole look. I bet the wedding and the reception were a blast and people will remember it for years.
@chris
Nope, it’s not a handcuff. It’s the female equivilent of the “sporran” (however it’s spelled.) That’s the purse/pouch type thing the guy is wearing on the front of his kilt. Her’s is smaller, has a metal edge and fabric in the center that matches her dress closely.
Actually it’s a horseshoe. That’s why it looks like it’s shaped like a sporran and the center looks like fabric to match her dress, it’s hollow in the middle so you’re actually seeing her dress in shadow. It’s a Scottish tradition for a bride to carry a horseshoe.
I also think it’s awesome. And that is why I must mock it.
After the ceremony, she will fly him off into the sunset. She will restrain and mate with him mid-flight, then gnaw his head off.
Well, I can’t say for certain that’s what she’ll do, but that’s what usually happens at Goth Scots Celtic Fantasy WWII Hungarian princess weddings I’ve attended. You might want to bring an umbrella if you’re ever invited to one.
Wow, ya know, am I the only person that wants to see the rest of the wedding photos? That dress really is gorgeous!
TOTALLY gorgeous! I almost went into the “faery wing” thing for my wedding (I used to run a custom-made faery wing accessories business), but decided against it (they’re a pain in the arse to wear, and you run into stuff, and my attendants would NOT have gone with it, not to mention my man….LOL!
Instead, I get super cool expensive Ghillie boots.
I do have to say that dress is gorgeous though probably not appropriate as a bridal ensemble.
Why not????
The new “trend” is to NOT wear white. Actually white was never a colour worn until Queen Victoria, anyways!
I’m wearing an Emerald Green corset top and white skirt…I think colour in a wedding is wonderful!
@Joanna
Would have made a kick-ass prom dress though.
I never thought I’d say this, but his dress is shorter than hers. :-/
I guess we know who wears the pants in this family… Nobody!
Can’t say I think much of the wings, but god I love that dress!
That dress is awesome. O_o
HAHA best comment!!
That dress is awsum though
am i the only one who is convinced the wings are photoshopped…they just look too odd and oddly positioned to be acctualy on her. and she totaly strikes me as the type of person to photoshop her wedding pics to make them look awesome…surprised theres not a dragon in the background too
The wings aren’t photoshopped. I’ve seen this couple appear before on Offbeatbride.com – which is a website devoted to women who don’t want to get married in a plastic fantastic white gown sort of way. There are more wedding pictures there , you can see where the wings are attached.
Personally I think they’re gorgeous- good for them for letting their wedding reflect their ideas instead of falling out of a catalogue.
Don’t forget the south – she’s channeling a little Scarlett O’Hara with the petticoat and the ruching on her dress.
@Roger
those are creepers, they’re supposed to havea thick sole.
the dress is awesome, too bad about the lame wings and tattoo.
Bride and groom both look awesome but PLEASE can we all just agree that wedding photographers who put everything in black and white but pick out one detail in colour are HACKS. It’s old and busted and is now as cliched as the soft focus shots of the 70s/80s.
Dude, you missed punk!
@Roger
Creepers, lifts, he’s still wearin’ em to be at least as tall as she is….what I love is the bouquet: what appear to be plastic grapes and grapevine artfully following the curve of the dress.
i thought the exact same thing!
Is that a trio of gerbils gnawing at his crotch? Or, is he just happy to see us?
@Demetrius
He hunted down and slew three chipmunks for his bride-to-be!
“She was actually cuter when she was a fuzzy catapillar”
I also think the wings are ‘shopped in, and this whole ensemble would be totally WIN except for that bit of silliness.
I hope her hair is really that color, and she keeps it that way.
Are we 100% sure this is the bride and groom, and maybe not the wedding party or other really awesome costume event?? I wouldnt do this for my wedding but I have to say, its pretty!
….i wanna wear wings at MY wedding…..
@everyone who thought it was photoshopped:
As an avid costumer, Nope… Fairy wings almost always tilt, especially if you just have them tucked into the back of your dress (which she does or else there would be elastic straps around her shoulders)
I have to say that I love it… It’s obviously a geek wedding, but it’s still a rather beautiful one.
i love everything about the groom, *swoons*
I think they both look quite lovely, but the wings DO come off as very juvenile.
@Iam Staggered
THIS. A thousand times, THIS.
Unfortunately for me, my fiancé loves this treatment, so some of my photos are going to be fugly. :/ The things we do for love!
I think the thing dangling looks like the lucky horseshoes a bride is given after the wedding by members of the wedding party. They are usually silver plastic decorated with lace etc and hanging from ribbon.
@Gael
I think the thing dangling from the bride is one of the lucky horseshoes given to a bride after the wedding by members of the weding party. They are usually silver plastic, decorated with lace etc and hanging from ribbon
Very sweet; think the couple will have some fantastic memories. Am I the only one wondering if that white convertible behind him is a ’60′s Thunderbird?
So beautiful! I love her wedding dress design, and I love wedding kilts. The wings are very pretty, much better than some little store-bought junk.
they’re SO.. GOTH!
This is pretty cool. Women should wear whatever color they like at their weddings, and kilts are awesome!
There’s an entire gallery on flickr.com featuring this wedding – I forget the name, but type goth + fairy + red dress and it should be easy enough to find. The wings aren’t shopped at all, and to make it even more awesome, the bride’s sister made the entire ensemble! One of my favorite wedding outfits ever!
I’m wondering how she managed to wear wings w/ a strapless dress! Really cool ensemble though.
I’m intelligent enough to realize this is weird…but crazy enough to REALLY LOVE IT!!!!!!!
The wings aren’t shopped – just look that way because they removed the colour from around the couple. And I wish I’d been brave (and rich) enough to dress like this when I got married.
I think that’s a dangling horseshoe. Awesome bouquet.
I think the groom looks like Tom Hanks.
lol i actually know people who would do this for their wedding…
–Gods investment in you (his son) was so great, he could never abandon you!
“I will never you leave you comfortless, I will come to you!”
-John 14:18–
Awsome looking couple.
I think they both look Awesome!!
I love it! Love love love – I would do that- sooooo
Cool!
But where does the English Patient come into this??
Funny how because someone’s wearing red and black that they’re automatically ‘goth’.
I actually like the wedding dress, though. better than the tacky white weddings I’ve seen.

they both look great! If I was young and getting married I’d want to dress just like them. Hell!!! I think I WILL dress like both of them tomorrow! Yeah!
Not traditional but beautiful none the less and at least they clearly took some time and effort into it unlike a lot of couples on here.
I love the apron.
