Who needs a veil with that lace collar?

Who needs a veil with that lace collar?

Submitted by: dunno source via Submit Page

Something tells me this woman and her husband could make your enemy disappear if you deposited $20,000 into one of their off-shore bank accounts. It’s like a modern-day Cruella DeVille is marrying Vlad III the Impaler.

Actually, this I don’t mind so much – it’s interesting, and not necessarily in a hideous way. True, it’s not what most women would choose, that is for sure…..But hey – at least all the major body parts are covered!

  2. Demetrius says:

I can imagine the proposal. “Be my queen. And, we will rule the GALAXY together! Mwaahaha!!”

  3. whiskers says:

Actually, I really like that dress. The fact that they both look like they would shatter if you hit them with a rubber mallet, not so much…

  4. craptastic says:

    *gasp* IT’S THE ICE QUEEN!!!

  5. bill says:

    NICE CLEAVAGE

  6. chapy says:

This is quite the spiffy couple. His lace cravat suggests jaunty man-about-town via the 18th century. Her lace collar…well, I’m thinking Queen Elizabeth I’s handmaiden.

  7. RayRay says:

But think of all the rain water she can collect and funnel down her cleavage!

  8. Marilyn says:

Good lord! What is their life going to be like six months from now? “Pass the salt, my darling.” “Of course, as soon as I finish telling the huntsman to off my stepdaughter.”

  9. Katrina says:

This is very pretty, actually. They look like vampires, but maybe that’s what they were going for.

  10. jerrylousalem says:

yeah – i want to marry some chick from dune.

  11. Bartolo says:

Vlad the Impaler? I BET that’s what she calls him.

Anyways, collar is awesome. It should be fashionable again, everyone should walk around in huge collars and the world would be a better place for everyone.

It’s clearly to keep her from licking her plastic surgery stitches.

  13. Nerdanel says:

I’d much rather get married in this than in 3/4 of the other scraps I see brides in on this site.

Very elegant, and certainly more classy than most.

  14. Tanken says:

    @Katrina
I think they were going for modern revival of renaissance. A ‘reimagining’ if you will. Not necessarily ‘vampires’.

  15. Mat says:

This really looks like a white version of the dress Mia Sara wore in the movie Legend (1985, directed by Ridley Scott, also starring Tom Cruise). Couldn’t find a pic to link to, sorry.

  16. Glicks says:

    Awww, Sorceress Edea remarried!

    @Glicks
That’s what Cid gets for trying to off her.

  19. swarley says:

Oh they totally are vampires. Grab the wooden stakes!!!!

Elegant was exactly what I thought when I saw this, Elegant and romantic. They do look a bit snobby, but that’s their facial expression, not the clothing.

“princess my ass! on my special day im the mother f%*kin queen!”

  22. elizabethanna says:

    this is kinda scary..

–Gods investment in you (his son) was so great, he could never abandon you!

  24. Z says:

More like Vlad III the Impaler is finally marrying his historical match Countess Elizabeth Bathory, the Blood Countess.
The bride really does look her, and that’s not an insult, as she was one of the most beautiful women of the time, and she knew it.
Which is why she bathed in the blood of virgins to preserve her looks.

  25. nana says:

    Aaah, they’re both so beautiful..!

  26. [...] don’t know what she’s so upset about. Look at those amazing lace sleeves! They look so….sophisticated. And that bodice is simply gorgeous. I’ve always [...]

  27. zec says:

The collar is called Queen Anne which was very popular right before the great depression. Like others, it’s a different kind of beauty for a regal wedding.

  28. Kaiti says:

    I really love that dress!

  29. Ivona says:

Beautiful outfits on both of them! Very elegant and unique. And the church is either Catholic or Greek Orthodox, judging from the little bit of ornaments which are visible on the photo.
