While you might randomly grab someone to be a witness at an impulsive Vegas wedding, this was a planned affair. Unless you’re completely braindead, there’s no way in hell you’re going to hand the task of Best Man to some schmo you just met. My wedding would have been called off if my best man had bailed and I had no backup. Actually, I wish he had bailed and the wedding had been canceled….fortunately she’s now my ex.
