The service was officiated by Admiral Akbar, who also wore white.

And now the wedding party gathers for the traditional Light Saber Salute.

The Bride seems to be ok with it so... EPIC WIN!

I’m assuming they’re not twins. May the force be with you, you crazy kids!

    >.> I HATE Star Wars. If my fiancee wanted I Star Wars wedding, I’d dump him in five seconds.

    • I hate you says:

      -_-

    • crystal says:

that is your own opinion don’t be so closed minded i personally think its awesome. if you would dump him over the fact that he wanted one you deserve to lose him.

      • Ryan says:

Quite well said, I do say.

      • Emily says:

        Well said. :)

If this question were to come up in MY relationship, I would be asking for a Star Wars themed wedding and my boyfriend would be the one with the ”are you kidding me?” look on his face. I mean, he does like Star Wars, but possibly not as much as me :P Love being a nerdy girl.

  2. Ouroboros says:

They didn’t go quite this far, but my cousin and his fiance did play the start wars theme as they’re entrance music at the reception.

  3. Ouroboros says:

Yes…. StarT Wars! What? You’ve never heard of it?

  4. The star wars wedding thing is so ’09. This year it’s all about the Cylons.

  5. Lorie says:

Some boys just never grow up!

  6. Elarain says:

if my ex boyfriend had had his way, we would have done this. that, and if we had stayed together.

almost makes me miss him a bit….. nah.

  7. PunsKillPeople says:

Oh, man, I totally agree, it is *all* about the Cylons. I wanna wear a red Number 6 dress. Somehow I doubt my mum and dad will really approve… :D

This couple looks adorable, best of luck to those little nerds ;D

    BEST. WEDDING. EVER.

  9. Frank says:

    It’s a trap!

I think the guy in the blue shirt’s (background of first pic) facial expression sums it up for me.

For all that pooed on this, have fun at your “normal”, non-memorable, cookie-cut, SSDD, borefest, “traditional”, “pretty”, “perfect”, nauseating wedding days.

Having been a wedding photographer in a previous life, I’d have given an arm to get to shoot something that didn’t look and operate like EVERY SINGLE OTHER wedding in history. We geeks have the best weddings.

    • Dragonite says:

Thank you. Somebody agrees with me.
On a related note, how to propose using Pokemon…give a game cartridge to your girlfriend and name your Poketeam in order. Will You Marry Me?

      • Sara says:

I would say yes in a heartbeat if my boyfriend did that! Or anything Pokemon related.

And I consider myself a normal, well-adjusted female with nerdy tendancies, and while I don’t think I would ever have a Star Wars wedding, I applaud those who do because they are awesome. Admittedly more awesome than me.

      • Akumetsu says:

Better idea: They marketed slightly-larger-than-life size PokeBalls at one point that contained a Pokemon character on a spring that would “pop up” when the PokeBall was opened and a character medalion. Chuck the medalion, rig the pop up character to “hold” the ring and make your proposal with it…

Brings new meaning to “pop the question”, doesn’t it?

And to Laurie; You say some boys never grow up. What if it was teh *bride* who came up with the idea? Gals can be geeks too.

  12. star wars wife says:

    @L.

Good thing they didn’t ask you to participate.

After more than 20 years of marriage to a geek, I count my blessings that he’s such a great guy.
