'Toddlers and Tiaras: A Wedding Special'

Submitted by: dunno source via Submit Page

Prettttty sure Mariah Carey that bridesmaid is wearing her bra on the outside of her dress. It’s also hard to tell if the bride is 22 or 42 since she’s wearing her weight in make-up. I’m loving her style to wear her skirt so short that the garter is actually worn several inches below it on her leg. Hawtness. I bet that just how the groom likes it.

  1. Fanboy Wife says:

    It’s clear that the bride and the dressmaker had something lost in translation. The bride wanted a dress with appliqués, but the dressmaker thought she wanted a dress made only out of appliqués!

    I can’t come up with an excuse for the bridesmaid wearing her bra on the outside of her dress.

    • Rwar says:

      The “bridesmaid” is actually her mom. This is from a series of photos of an Irish Traveler’s wedding. The bride is 16 years old. Ew.

    • *i will not disclose my identity* says:

      Maybe she was still drunk off her @$$ when she got dressed. And as for the bride? EEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWW.

  2. GishTown says:

    Honestly, who on earth does their make up? Somebody call Bobbi Brown to the rescue!

  3. Emi says:

    Wait, I was looking at a bunch of photos from this wedding yesterday. Are you sure you haven’t published it before? It was full of little girls in inappropriate clothing, and I think the couple got their very own trailer home as a wedding present :)

  4. Payton says:

    The ‘bridesmaid’ is her mom, and the bride is actually 15. Her parents gave her and her new groom a double wide as a wedding present.

    I’m not kidding.

    • Maggie says:

      I heard about these people. They’re British and live in a trailer. They didn’t have to get married, either. They just wanted to.

      • spryte says:

        uh… big difference between “british” and “traveller british”. people like this give the traveller community a bad reputation with the rest of britian, but they themselves do not feel that way about it – to them it’s just part of their culture.

        also, most people don’t “have” to get married either, they do it because they want to.

  5. Zita says:

    That’s no bridesmaid, that’s her mother! Yep that picture is the the parents of the bride with the happy couple. I bet the dress and makeup make a lot more sense now, right? And, the bride is 16. Don’t feel bad, though…the groom is 17. You can find the whole story and more lovely pictures over at http://tackyweddings.com/2008/10/30/outer-limits-tacky-150k-wedding-for-uk-16-year-old-girl-ugliest-dress-ever/

  6. tehya says:

    The people on the ends are actually the bride’s parents, and the bride is only 16. This is yet another one of the Irish Traveller weddings.

  7. Peachy says:

    Do you think the couple on the outside could be the bride’s parents? You can sure tell which side of the family the bride gets her fashion sense from!

  8. Roe says:

    The bride is 16 and the groom is 17. There are more pics on another tacky wedding website,w long with the back story.

  9. Roe says:

    @Roe
    And the two other people are the bride’s parents, not the wedding party.

  10. Glenn Leatherman says:

    This has been posted already…

  11. Kaye says:

    Full story can be found on TackyWeddings.com. The woman is her mother, not a bride’s maid (the one with the Mariah Carey rack). Full story (a must read) and more photos can be found at…

    Love wedinator! :D

  12. Kaye says:

    and her mother is 32.

  13. Lily says:

    Roe, will you post a link, please?

  14. Andie says:

    @Roe

    Don’t forget, she’s a 16 year old 4th grade dropout. Classy.

  15. Westlake says:

    who here feels they can guess the bridesmaid’s bra size?

  16. charade says:

    Someone please tell me how a 17 year old boy is going to support himself and a wife.

  17. Wren says:

    She probably couldn’t find a dress that would fit over that rack…

  18. arallyn says:

    I didn’t know that it was legal to drop out of school at age 9, even in the UK. Wow.

    When you go to the link, you have to check out the child prostitute guests.

    Is this some sort of trend among this “Traveler” demographic? Also, what the hell is a Traveler? Is it like a carnie? Because I can totally see that girl having her makeup done by one of the carnival clowns.

  19. Jahzzie says:

    Yup, that is a prime example of an Irish Traveler wedding. Check the previously posted link, or look for Youtube clips of “The Riches” for a media friendly example.
    They marry off their daughters VERY young, and stay in a close knit family unit. No absolute proof, but there is a lot of news on them being con and scam artists to make money. There was a woman on the news quite a few years ago trying to scam Disney for being assaulted in one of their hotels due to lack of security, and her attacker was a family member trying to help her run the scam.

  20. GishTown says:

    @Andie
    And there is so much culture in these photos. It’s hitting me like a great, big epiphany. SO MUCH CULTURE.

    The tribal orange paint symbolising fertility, the false synthetic hair over the eyes to ward away evil spirits; and oh yes, one can’t deny the sheer ethnic design of the dress. The design alone is FOUR hundred years old. Long train to distract prehistoric predators, and a short skirt and top for fleetness in foot. (The sagging garter promotes balance and harmony of the cosmos).

    The tiara is also a 6-hundred year old family heirloom, every bride must wear one or else the sun and moon will not rise again.

    Ever since ethnoarchaeologists had begun studying this incredibly cultured race, I was since blown away by the sheer culture of this family. So…much…culture. *bawls*

    Yeah, I’m done.

    • HeatherRadish says:

      You are awesome.

    • bellefemmeici says:

      you are hilarious. can I marry you?

    • Gishtown says:

      Hehe, thanks.

      I’m just sick and tired of people describing this as culture. I mean, we can debate on what makes a culture, but honestly, I’ve seen in a documentary on travelers some wedding photos of the brides’ mothers, and there was nothing like it a decade ago. *shrugs*

      I dunno ’bout you. But there’s fashion, and a long-established tradition. This one’s totally fashion.

  21. David says:

    You are all missing the point. The mom is an absolute MILF, and I would like to see her breasts.

    OK, go back to your discussions now.

  22. Lizard King says:

    @Fanboy Wife
    Hummm… They are stupid douchebags? Find yourself lucky the guy isn’t Oompla-Loompa orange.

  23. N/A says:

    @arallyn
    It’s legal to home school, you don’t have to send your kids to public school. In many cases it’s a better option for the traveler kids. Even if the parents aren’t the best teachers they at least stand a chance of getting a consistent education rather than being shunted from school to school and possibly learning the same thing 5 times over but missing other topics entirely. It’s not good but it might be the lesser of two evils.

  24. trillium13 says:

    @Kaye

    The comments from the linked page you gave are…something. ;)

  25. jesi says:

    @Jahzzie
    theres totally a law and order svu episode about that!

  26. Bob says:

    The bridesmaid is actually her mother, and the guy all the way on the right is his father.

  27. Westlake says:

    @David
    smartest guy on here

  28. Jami says:

    @jesi
    Law & Order: Criminal Intent did Travelers.
    Law & Order: Special Victims Unit just did a family of con artists (not Travelers) who hired a guy to assault one of the family members to run a scam on a hotel.

  29. Pam says:

    @arallyn
    If you had clicked on the links, you would have learned about the Travelers. They are a miniority group in Ireland that are similar to “gypsies” (Roma.) They lived in clans and are basically nomadic. Like their continential coutnerparts, they are often shunned by society and accused of scams and theivery (altho of course not always without reason.) They are not rich but apparently spend a lot on their wedding, with the extravagance and tackiness often landing them on this site. So I guess you could call this a “trend.”

  30. Shav says:

    As soon as I saw this I knew it was gonna be a traveller wedding! They usually go for huuuuuuuuge dresses though – not such skimpy ones! Anyone else LOVE “My big fat gypsy wedding” on Channel 4 (uk)…..it’s like a TV show of this blog!

  31. Sarge says:

    Here we see the cast of “Naughty Bride Gangbang IX” as they pose for the boxcover shot.

  32. Deraub says:

    The woman with the bra hanging outside of the dress was the brides MOTHER!

  33. Fuzzman says:

    The groom must have a certain something that reminds her of her daddy. Is it the stenciled-in facial hair? (WTF: Is the groom wearing upside-down sunglasses on top of his head????)

  34. Mo says:

    So this happened in the U.K. I actually got an email about it. This girl is 16, her husband is 17. And sad thing is that’s not her bridesmaid… that’s her mom! And best part is Daddy bought his little princess a brand new trailer for her and her new hubby…

  35. tim says:

    no kidding her parents you say well glad you told id have never guessed from the twenty thousand other posts

  36. A.V. says:

    I read an article about this. For her 16th birthday the girl asked her dad for a wedding and whatever baby wants baby gets. She married her 17 year old boyfriend and the wedding was a $100,000 (British pounds) wedding.

  37. Not you says:

    can we take a moment and think about the little boy, whose hand the father of the bride is holding, and wonder what kind of fate awaits him?….Poor kid has one fucked up family

  38. IleanaDU says:

    The UK Daily Mail article says that she was married at a Catholic church (although looking at the pictures it appears they may have been married in the chapel rather than the main church), but I really have a hard time understanding this. I know individual parishes have some leeway, but does this match these guidelines:

    The wedding ceremony is regarded as a very religious event; therefore all participants are expected to dress appropriately. There are no set guidelines for the bridal attire, but there should be some discretion in regard to the selection of clothing

    http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/dress-guidelines-for-catholic-church-true-or-false

    Much of the wedding party’s female attire does not seem consistent with the notion that they’re participating in a holy sacrament.

    The Daily Mail article also says her dad lives in a caravan and paves driveways for a living (they’re Roma or Travelers, fka Gypsies); I didn’t know it was such a lucrative business!

    On the plus side, the women here are wearing a lot more than the women here:

    http://tackyweddings.com/2010/04/29/and-the-theme-of-this-wedding-would-be/

  40. IleanaDU says:

    Sorry, I was informed by my spouse a little while that travelers are not the same as Roma (fka Gypsies); so I take that back. It just seems that they both tend to engage in the lucrative driveway paving business.

  41. gg says:

    WTF is “traveller British”??? Come on, do me a “British” accent that isn’t Welsh, Scots, English or Northern Irish or any of the other people groups living in Great Britain. So irritating.
