I’ve heard women complain about their roles as bridesmaids before, but I never understood why until this picture. I always assumed it had to do with organizing the bridal shower and wearing an ugly dress. Turns out periwinkle is the least of these ladies’ problems.
Of course, it would be nice to see the groom in the submissive role for once. Sometimes men need to STFU too, ya know.

Nah, the cheap ones have string you tie that really cut into the sides of the mouth. Those are the better ones, way more comfortable.

Why wouldn’t they be serious? If it’s really a D/s wedding, they probably all subscribe to a submissive lifestyle. Although gosh, it’s got to be hard to find a whole group of submissive bridesmaids.
Stuff like this sort of angers me though because it just serves to make people think that D/s is just for kooky, unstable attention whores. It kind of makes the whole thing a joke. There’s no practical reason for a group of submissives to wear a ball gag during a wedding ceremony, it just seems cartoony.

And as far as submissive grooms go I have two things:
1. There are just as many boner killing sites about male subs. Or rather, female doms.
2. Males are already expected to play the submissive role in every single facet of a relationship. Why if both parties are interested, can’t guys have one place to dom and not have it be “wrong” or “abusive”?
And before you misunderstand what I’m saying, think about the last time the guy held the brunt of the decision making in a relationship and people accepted it. We make all sorts of sayings for why women telling men what to do is acceptable(if momma ain’t happy ain’t nobody happy, when you’re married you can either be happy or right, etc.). But if a guy holds the same position, there has to be an issue taken with it. Either it’s abusive after some mental gymnastics or suddenly it becomes a humanity problem that no one should have someone tell them what to do. And while I know that I have some serious issues in this department, I also think that I do still have a point.
Alright, done ranting.
I think the fact that all government forms default “Head Of Household” as the male partner, and my first homebuyer contract listed me as “Miss_, An unmarried woman” still speaks for the general zeitgeist of the US. Besides, my objection is that they didn’t even bother to match the gag to the gown color! BLASPHEMY!
Gender bias issues aside, the truth is the vast majority of the population is submissive, male and female. It’s just less socially acceptable for men to be openly submissive.
I agree with you, i am a feminist, and being a girl sub i see it hard to accept males subs. Not that i don’t, i think girls can be dom as much as guys and it’s fine, just hard to picture myself as. But your right, the guys are expected to give girls more right, almost because girls having rights is so new. I think that girls and gusy should, but don’t have equal rights, and that is what makes us all rush to try to give women more power. It’s crazy, we all know.

I don’t know… I mean, I like a little force and all, and the idea of a “traditional” wedding where the groom steals the bride makes me blush all kinds of crazy, but I’m too strong-willed for this kind of thing. My family doesn’t raise weak women, and I don’t see the point of dominating someone who’s just going to lie there and take it. If you don’t have to fight for it, it’s boring.
