“All the single ladies…now put your arms up!”
Some women – and the occasional dude – will do ANYTHING to catch the bouquet. I wonder why they don’t just pay everyone off in order to make this happen. I’d be happy to take a $20 under the banquet table and sidestep the floral trophy.
Maybe they’re just super competitive and like to throw ‘bows (in their bare feet). Or maybe they really enjoy jumping…?

True story, I was the only female at one of my brothers’ wedding. It was decided that the bouquet would go to me but the men had to stand around me. The bride throws it and my OTHER brother, who apparently doesn’t listen, caught it. I was SO MAD at him. So they let me catch the garter belt instead.
why were there no other women?
You know, some of us don’t WANT to catch the bouquet! At my cousin’s wedding, all of us single ladies were reluctant to participate in this silly tradition, and when she threw it we all actually SCATTERED like oil in a pan when a drop of soap touches it!! I think that we eventually forced it on a friend of hers.
