I believe the bride just has an Elizabethan hairline thing going. It used to be the height of fashion for women to shave back their hairline, and you know that in fashion, trends do come back. Except the Nehru jacket, darn it, and I’ve got two in the closet still waiting for that.
Which sucks cause I think men in Nehru jackets are sexy.
It was because Queen Elizabeth had a large forehead, and they all were attempting to look like her.
Actually the trend was medieval, not Elizabethan – and there are two theories. One is that the king of France’s mistress had lost her hair in front thus becoming a popular look, and the other was that it was religiously motivated. Either way it was much more extreme during medieval times than in the late Renaissance, although it did exist as a practice.

Lulu is right. Just because she dresses differently than some does not make her any less beautiful. She is not ‘scary’, if anything, she looks as happy, and excited as any other young woman on her wedding day. Try some tolerance.

This would be Pushba and Grater, they have an adorable little girl now, they struggle to both survive financially and to actively push Russia into the modern world through example — so maybe give them a break, they do not have an easy life. Pushba was attacked and she and her baby were thrown off a moving trolly when her child was just months old, by Russian police. Nobody so much as raised a finger to help.

Well, Draco’s meant to have been going out with pansy who was meant to have, quote, a face like a pug, unquote.
This photo of her isn’t very flattering, but she’s quite a gorgeous girl, you gotta admit.

People like this tend to have weak identities, and so they dress like retards to gather attention, and to have identifying qualities.
Lots of people do it as young teenagers. Some just never let go of the crutch, and it becomes pure ridiculousness.
These people look like tools. You cannot become unique, or individual because of clothing. The most interesting people I know all dress like normal people, but have brilliant minds.
Sometimes it is just about having a slightly different set of aesthetics. Just because you don’t find it beautiful doesn’t mean everyone will agree with you.
Other than her hairline they are quite awesome looking, a very nice wedding from the looks of it.

Actually, I love this couple. I might think their personal style is silly looking, but if you look at the photos from this wedding, which I have seen elsewhere on the interwebs, you’ll see that their chosen aesthetic is well done. Look at what they’re wearing, it’s actually really well constructed and not polyester. Also, they’re Russian and you kinda have to take that into account.

I love the bride wearing black and the groom wearing white. They seem sombre, but I’m guessing that’s what they were going for. And while I’m really not a fan of the hairline, she pulls it off way better than I could.

I love their outfits – except for the groom’s boots. A little too over the top, but to each their own. I like anything gothic, Victorian, medieval, Renaissance, old-fashiony, Steampunk, etc, but I’ve never been fully into any of those trends/sub-cultures. (I don’t know art but I know what I like kinda thing) In fact, I’m planning on having a wedding dress in a similar style, just in an ivory/antique white & with a full-length skirt all around (although my fiancee thinks black wedding dresses are hot) Not loving the Elizabethan hairline and lack of eyebrows either, but again, to each their own. Otherwise, judging from the other pics people have posted, she’s a very beautiful woman with an adorable daughter.

I’m actually amazed by the people white knighting for the bride. The look she achieved is a melding of a baby and male pattern baldness.

Haha, okay, I showed this picture to my fiance (who was seriously goth all the way through high school and college) and he said “they look funny”. I’ve seen the other pictures of them and, while I would never dress that way, I think they do it well and they looked very happy together.

I honestly respect people who wear/do whatever they want without care. If it makes YOU happy, do it. But I do have to say, a lot of these comments seem to be just people trying to prove to the rest of the world that they are “understanding” or “open-minded”. It kinda makes you look like a tool to just go around saying over and over how much you “love” this look and how “beautiful” you think they are just to have a scape-goat out of your douche-baggery world. Some say these two are “trying too hard” but I say some of these commenters are doing just the same.
