So Many Questions, So Few Answers

Funny Wedding Photos - So Many Questions, So Few Answers

Submitted by: dunno source via Submit Page

I know I should be more concerned about the string (industrial silly string??) attached to this couple’s getaway bike, but all I can focus on is the groom’s hat. Is he saving a fancy bottle of Dom Perignon under that thing? Maybe a small slice of wedding cake? I feel sad that I’ll never know.

Does this couple have a Twitter account so I can keep up with their day-to-day activities? That would be ideal.

This is your wedding on meth. Any questions?

  2. Heather says:

    That’s a Doctor Who scarf!!!

But even the awesomeness of that scarf cannot negate the wtf factor in this photo.

  3. Albert says:

No, no, not so many questions, only one – WTF?

  4. Tracey says:

A lot of the decorations look like they’re knitted, so maybe the couple are knitters and the string is actually yarn?

  5. heidrance says:

Clearly, this is a steampunk/Doctor Who/Harry Potter/Alice in Wonderland theme wedding. Duh!

  6. Truly he’s sporting the whole shebang there. Of course, there’s a few archaic accessories missing – http://www.iamstaggered.com/featured/mens-style-accessories.

Any of these you wouldn’t wear?

Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do
I’m half crazy over the love of you
It won’t be a stylish marriage
    I can’t afford a carriage
    But you’ll look sweet
    Upon the seat
Of a bicycle built for two

  8. harhar says:

I would eat a baby for that Doctor Who scarf.

    • Janet KM says:

Looks like should be a simple stitch. Avoid hurting others such as babies and locate a kind person who will give you some instruction in knitting. I can knit, so it’s not that hard. Crochet, however, ….

    • craspy says:

I’m 75% done with the Doctor Who scarf I’m currently knitting. Estimated finished length: 14 feet. Send proof of baby eating and it’s yours.

    • lawlcat fan says:

could always learn to knit and make one yourself :P

      i did…and now i’m kinda obsessed with knitting :P

  9. Sarah says:

I think the “strings” might be attached to balloons. See how most of them are angled out with the wind that’s also pulling on her head-decoration?

  10. blu_canary says:

I think the couple is unraveling. Darn thread must have gotten caught on something as they were pedaling away!

  11. eliina says:

“Don’t ask” would be the best answer to this.

  12. betty says:

I believe the theme for this wedding is “knitting”. All decorations, clothing, accessories, even the gifts were knitted.

    • Steff says:

You’re right, I saw this couple interviewed on the telly a while ago. Even their wedding cake was knitted. Not exactly my taste but I bet it was a darn sight cheaper to knit-your-own wedding!

  13. Janet KM says:

Others with more average / normal tastes are still getting married, right? Perhaps I’m getting too much Web and not enough IRL. Maybe I’ll go read a book instead.

” Wedding ” by Tim Burton,
    Coming this fall!

  15. Asteria says:

Second Doctor-inspired hat + Fourth Doctor scarf with Sixth Doctor cat pin + TARDIS blue bike = Doctor Who wedding WIN!

  16. Schizo says:

Clearly a reference to the “Daisy, Daisy” nursery rhyme:

    Daisy, Daisy,
    Give me your answer do.
    I’m half crazy,
All for the love of you.
It won’t be a stylish marriage,
    I can’t afford a carriage,
    But you’d look sweet,
    Upon the seat,
Of a bicycle made for two.

Hence two-seat bike, and presumably all the wool and knitwear is to do with it not being a ‘stylish marriage’… one can only assume…

  17. JellyJo says:

Tracey is absolutely right. This is from an artist couple’s wedding a few years ago. Everything at the wedding was hand-knitted, including “food” at the reception, and the bride’s dress. There’s dozens more photos of this interesting occasion here: http://www.castoff.info/wedding.asp. I think it’s really cool and original.

  18. Yamabushi says:

@JellyJo….good find, that hat is even more impressive than I ever imagined…gotta love the British!

  19. dotsalot says:

See, there is a reason LSD went (mostly) out of style

  20. Abi says:

I actually love this wedding. It’s completely theirs – isn’t it? Completely original! I bet they had a fab time.

  21. Doctor Who scarf! If only the rest of it made sense :)

  22. IleanaDU says:

Why are there tags on everything? If you go to their gallery you can see that there are even several tags on the bride’s dress.

Ditto on the Doctor Who scarf. It’s a simple knit stitch; the only difficulty is finding all the colors. and it takes a long time to knit.
