Here’s what my ideal Ghostbusters-themed wedding would entail: Rick Moranis would officiate, the cake would look like this, and everyone would throw marshmallows at the couple as they made their exit. (Note: Nothing about this incorporates themes from Ghostbusters II…’cause it kinda sucked.)

These guys are well on their way to making my dream a reality with their exterminator outfits and backpacks. The dude on the right (Best Ghost Buster Man?) even looks like a Ghost Buster, had one been played by Dax Shepard. My only point of contention is with the bride. Her dress is nice and all, but wouldn’t it have been more fun to wear something like this? Methinks yes.

Wait – I thought that was just tradition? You date someone exclusively for a while, you get engaged, and then right before the wedding you engage in a sleazy gang bang that takes place in the home you share with your partner-to-be. Is that not how’s done? This guy seems pretty angry so I’m guessing no. I sure hope Craigslist helps him in this time of need as much as it helped his fiance in hers. (ZING!)

At Burning Man, bridal wear showcases are a thing of artistic beauty. Who can resist the latest in spork skirt haute couture? And that feather hat? So practical and flattering. If you happen to be a less conventional bride, you can always take things down a notch by removing your top and adding a casual-yet-trendy fedora. Lace-up boots and a semi-sheer skirt complete the look.

Both styles are great for warm weather and for pissing off your relatives.

Old people FTW! How is it that grandmas and grandpas kick so much ass on the regular? This guy is literally rolling with the punches and seems to be having a blast. I hope I’m as awesome as he is several decades from now. I don’t even think I would have joined that conga line at my current age, so good for him!

I’m not gonna lie: I have several pictures from ages 5-14 wherein I look like a brace-faced, skinny, neon-colors-wearing, fruit juice-drinking freak of nature. So I totally “get” the bride’s childhood “look.” What I can’t understand is why she’d display it next to her husband’s adorable Superman picture. It looks like he went as Superman for Halloween in the 3rd grade, and she went as a Juicy Juicy serial killer. There wasn’t a cute picture of her all dressed up on Easter or something?

Why yes he is in a bit of a dolphin pose here! Looks comfortable. I wonder how long he can stay like that? One thing I know from years of catering experience is that you really don’t want to put your face on that green artificial “flooring.”It’s the grossest thing ever. Another thing I know is that everyone in that jumbo tent is point and laughing at this dude. I wish I could zoom out to see that.

“C’mon, gang! Onward to the reception!” I love this picture because if you look at the way back of the line, there are people who look like they weren’t invited to the wedding who have joined in. It’s like a campy movie scene where the party gradually gets bigger as they wheel through town, growing from 20 people to 200 people.

Or at least, that’s what I’ve decided in my head. I’m probably wrong, but a girl can dream. Either way this picture is awesome. (Except I feel kind of bad for the bride, who probably should have changed into a more practical garment first. Live and learn.)
