Viral Wedding Ring: “Modern Claddagh Ring” AKA The Goatse Ring

Jul. 30, 2010

Peeps on the interwebs are talking about this “twist” on the traditional Irish wedding ring because it, well…..looks a whole lot like something else. If you know what I’m saying. And if you don’t, then go here for the ‘lite’ goatse definition.

Ahh…..filthy romance at its finest. And for only $24.95, it’s a real bargain!

Pirates Vs. Ninjas Vs. Bride

Jul. 30, 2010

Submitted by: Unknown

This was the first dance from the Fantasy themed wedding that was featured on TLC’s, “Say Yes to the Dress” and on E!’s “The Soup”. It’s also kind of…..poorly executed? I mean, hello: Mortal Kombat is awesome because you can rip someone’s leg off and beat them senseless with it. I see none of that here.

Plus, wouldn’t the groom want to choreograph the fighting sequence so that it looked like he kicked everyone’s ass? Instead it looked like he got pummeled by a couple of cheap sticks. What a letdown :( .

Sheer Awesomeness: Retro Reception Invite

Funny Wedding Photos - Sheer Awesomeness: Reception Invite

Submitted by: Unknown

If I ignore my initial feminist knee-jerk reaction rooted in a Women’s Studies course taken 10+ years ago, this invite is pretty cool! I mean it’s no lesbian laugh riot or King Kong vs. Godzilla Smackdown, but it’s still a good idea. I’m just not entirely sure why the groom is represented as a giant badass robot hero while the bride is represented as a scantily clad victim with DDD-sized boobs.

But hey! Again, not gonna overanalyze this. Nope. No siree. I simply refuse to acknowledge this image’s blatant disregard for women who do anything but sit around waiting to get “rescued” like some misogynistic wet dream. I just won’t even go there. I can’t and I won’t. So congratulations to the happy couple!!!

Sticking your tongue out isn’t going to protect your mouth, Curly Sue. You’re in it for the long haul now. Every day, every night, FOREVER. Even when he’s been eating stale Cheetos in between giant bites of raw garlic, he’s yours to love until death do you part. Good luck with that!

Her Dad RULES

Funny Wedding Photos - Her Dad RULES

Submitted by: Danny

So the theme is “Wear Whatever the F*@k You Want”? Because I’m all in favor if it results in a fascinator with a tiny hat, hot pink beaded dress and mustard-colored Native American suede vest with multiple layers of fringe. The only thing that sucks about this picture is that it isn’t panoramic. And that I can’t do a quick shot of whiskey with this bride’s old man.

Spray “Yes”

Funny Wedding Photos - Spray "Yes"

Submitted by: Max Stone

I guess graffiti is the new… chocolate cake… or however it is people used to traditionally propose. Last week, we brought you this dude, who proposed via graffiti mural (and caught it all on tape!). And now this guy!

Stuart Barrie, a graffiti artist, proposed to his lady friend Lucy by spray painting “Will you marry me?” across the side of a building. Said Barrie, “I wanted to do something different, something bigger than most proposals, something unexpected.”

Not bad, Barrie, but DID YOU STOP TIME?

Boba Fett Gets The Girl

Jul. 28, 2010

Thanks to having a great idea and partnering up with the Hasbro marketing team, hopeful groom-to-be Matt proposed to his girlfriend Jennifer “by hiding the ring inside the package of the Rocket-Firing Boba Fett – which doesn’t even come out till this fall.”

Jennifer – who said yes – was “so excited about the figure that she nearly missed the fact that Boba was actually holding the ring.” Hey, it could’ve been a practical new Boba Fett action figure accessory, right? :) Congrats to the geeky couple!
