Weddings are a great excuse to dress up. But the thing is, everyone has a different idea of exactly what ‘dressing up’ means. For some, like the woman standing in the middle of this picture, it means a silk, fitted dress with a little rouging around the problem areas. For others, it means a chance to finally break out that pair of formal skintight blue pants with black polka dots that have been begging to be worn with a cropped tuxedo jacket. No matter what your style, the most important thing is to try to look your best. You know, like the folks pictured above. They couldn’t look any better – or happier – if they tried.

And nobody noticed the dude in the skirt/kilt on the left?
I have. At first I thought he is making a facepalm but then realized it’s just somebody standing a bit further back
What’s wrong with a kilt? (I wouldn’t wear one with Dr. Martin’s to a wedding, though. Proper brogues, if you will, with knee-socks.)
lmao Jon Davis much?
to be fair, I don’t think that’s “blue pants with black polka dots”, I think it’s “blue and black checkered”…
I love the lady second from left who’s got… oversized grenades? gaslight covers? white shoulder pads with criscrossed duct tape? covering her breasts on the outside of her dress….
The one guy who’s hiding in the back next to that lady… well… he LOOKS dressed, but the other half is the “woman” side, which a dress. I’m sure of it.
Sadly, I know the term is “ruching,” not “rouging.”
I was just about to say that…
Yeah, I was looking for excessive pink tones when I saw “rouging” instead of “ruching”.
Ditto.
I also think it’s cheap to pick on a woman’s “problem areas” when she is nicely dressed.
Yeah, I was looking for touched up nipples or something, not a really nice dress. I’m not wild about the stripes on the groom, either. The best dressed is the little girl.
Yeah, really the only people who actually look funny in this picture are the woman in the blue leggings and the man in the kilt.
Pretty sure they’re blue leggings with white, not black polka dots…..Observation fail Caption Author
So the people at this wedding are creative/alternative types. I like the way most of these people are dressed. Just because it doesn’t look like it came out of a bridal magazine doesn’t make it bad. You people are douchey.
Not everyone here makes fun of the people or the clothes. Sometimes the fails are funny, but it’s also just cool to see how other people celebrate.
We’re not making fun of them. Okay, maybe a little, but the last sentence of the description is genuine.
I actually think the only “WTF” outfit is the blue stretchy pants with tuxedo jacket. The rest are fine. I actually quite like the dress of the woman second to the left. I’m pretty sure that’s a ship on her dress. And ah, I was wondering what the rouging comment meant. I was thinking blush… but ruching! That makes sense.
I want to be at that reception. Funtimes.
It was! You have NO idea…
(-the photographer)
I think the best dressed is the little girl in front…even with her flowered halo.
I love that little girls’ dress
I like the groom’s (I think) zoot suit.
To me it looks like the bride is being held against her will by the two people on either side of her.
Who exactly is the bride in this photo?
Gangster suits, kilts, bad 40′s hair dos, weirdly dressed lesbians, way too many bracelets–this picture pretty much has it all! Plus palm trees!
Did the lady in the blue tights just step out of the 80′s or what?
I am nearly positive that third from the right is Gadget, from a few different Discovery shows http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/smash-lab/bios/bios.html
From his own site: “Greg ‘Gadget’ Abbott, actually is a Minister. In 1986 he was Ordained, and, when requested, performs marriages and funerals for friends.” http://www.reverendgadget.com/
‘ruching’
frankly, I think the guy in the kilt looks great. its not uncommon to see men dressed like that, which is more than you can say for most of these other outfits
Yeah, it’s my wedding… surprised to find it here. But it was a blast. it’s been two years and we are still just as happy as we were the day we got married. The one in tux is my sister and best man, the blue dress, one of the groomsmen. I’m in the stripes, my wife to my right. The couple with the child are our my rocker inlaws from London. Tommy Chong performed the service. Yes that Tommy Chong…. and now we are getting ready to go to Burningman..
Hey, did a website pimping cheeseburgers just call me fat?!
~Rebecca
Aka “The girl in the silk fitted dress with rouging? around the problem areas.”
Wait, there are no cheeZeburgers here, just anonymous mockery.
I’m disappointed.
Mostly because I wanted a cheeseburger.
