Holy. Crab. This cake is AMAZING. Here are the details about what’s what: “The crabs, corn, and container of Old Bay Seasoning are made of white chocolate. The sand is crushed graham crackers and vanilla wafers. The mallets are fondant. The entire cake is edible!”
Mmmm. Someone break me off a leg of THAT. If anyone gets married on the beach and doesn’t get a crab cake made of white chocolate they are doing it wrong.

This reminds me of weeble’s song “Crabs”. Maybe it was their song for their first dance…>.<
“I’ve got a big bag of crabs here. I’m gonna put them in my mouth OH YEAH!”
i love that song! and i’m pretty sure this cake was made by the ace of cakes people
Must be a Delmarva wedding…
Could they not have just as easily served a bushel of crabs? This cake simply does not say “sweet and tasty” to me.
thats from Ace of Cakes!
Why are the corncobs on the sand? Thats’s so wrong.
Yes! That’s totally the Ace of Cakes cake …
Sweet, sweet crabcakes!
Meh. I’d rather have actual crab.
I got crabs at a friend’s wedding.
What a night that was.
Zing!
This looks so real that I don’t want to eat it! :S
If someone from Deadliest Catch gets married, they should do one better and get an entire crab pot stuffed with either King Crab or opilio as a wedding cake.
I love it. I just wish I would have thought of that when my hubby and I got married. We both love to eat crabs.
My mouth fell open when I realized you weren’t using “cake” as a euphemism. That’s not a bushel of crabs? That’s an actual…CAKE? Holy. Crab. is right. I wonder what Ace of Cakes charges for a thing like that – $1,000? $5,000? I have no clue.
/Love the idea of an ear of white chocolate!
Ace of Cakes has a minimum order limit of $1,000. I can’t imagine what a custom cake like this would cost!
I’m deathly allergic to shellfish, I wonder if it would bother me to eat this, even though I know it’s not real crab? Would love to find out. Mmm, white chocolate ear of corn…drool.
totally Baltimore, hon!
Actually, its from the Today Show Wedding several years ago, made by a bakery in Maryland. Fancy Cakes by Leslie.
Yeah, my first thought was Ace Of Cakes, because they did a Maryland crab cake, but the bucket looked a lot different… plus they didn’t have the crab legs sticking out. Good to know where it actually came from!

Wow this is an amazing cake. I watch the tv shows where they make cakes like this. It just amazes me what people can do with fondant…lol
Definitely a Maryland cake. I am so proud <3 lol
Maybe the crabs was what brought them together? He had the crabs, then one night in Paris….. Shellfish was traded?
There a joke in there about “Deadliest Catch” and marriage, but I will let everyone out there connect the dots if they can…
Pure win!
Edible, beautiful, awesome…but who would want to have to be the first one to cut into it?!
[...] tell if he’s made of ceramic or delicious green-colored icing. It kind of reminds me of this cake, which also kicked ass of mammoth proportions. I’d like to personally thank all the bakers [...]
@MightyLog I totally just got that, LOL.
And why is everyone immediately going, “Oh, Ace of Cakes”? Cake Boss did a very similar cake for an wedding shower (not the same one, though).
Screw Cake Boss the guy doesn’t even own the shop, he works for someone else. Ace of Cake rocks even though this is not their cake
does anyone know who made the Bushel of Crab wedding cake?
Unfortunately, I don’t. But it is incredibly awesome!
Now this is awesome. Since I am allergic to shellfish, this is something I can eat without needing my Epipen!!!
