Thanks to having a great idea and partnering up with the Hasbro marketing team, hopeful groom-to-be Matt proposed to his girlfriend Jennifer “by hiding the ring inside the package of the Rocket-Firing Boba Fett – which doesn’t even come out till this fall.”
Jennifer – who said yes – was “so excited about the figure that she nearly missed the fact that Boba was actually holding the ring.” Hey, it could’ve been a practical new Boba Fett action figure accessory, right?
Congrats to the geeky couple!

How cool – at least he isn’t the type of superfan that is unwilling to open up the box to get the ring… I hope?
Since they’re apparently collectors, I was thinking along the same lines, but in a different direction… now they have to open the container and spoil the value. Oh well. It’ll never spoil the personal value, anyway (I hope).
I hear the ring loses its value if you open the packaging so she’s going to have to duct tape it to her hand
I didn’t notice the ring till I read that it was there
Me too.
“Where’s that special Boba Fett package for the proposal? The guy’s here to pick it up.”
“Um. Was there a special one? I just packed the boxes to have the right number of units. What was special about it?”
“Do you know how much money this is going to cost us?”
“Hey, an idea!! We’ll treat it as special promotional prize, ring goes to whoever buys the package. We’ll publicize it everywhere! To your Tweets, ladies!!”
“The guy is getting impatient.”
” *??? How can I keep boss from finding out?*”
Finding a woman who’s that excited about a Boba Fett figure instead of Twilight is definitely a win.
“so excited about the figure that she nearly missed the fact that Boba was actually holding the ring”
HAHAHAHAHA

I’m jealous! as a super nerd myself, i hope my boyfriend does something cute and geeky like this when we get engaged!
*kathud* This is the BEST PROPOSAL EVER!!! The awesome geekiness makes me smile so big!
I am so jealous! The girl is def a win if she is all about the Star Wars.
Gotta love those geeky couples and their crazy/awesome ideas!

(Wish I had a Boba Fett figure. And a Darth Vader one too
What a trite, boring ring. Nice toy, tho.
That’s not nice. To each his own. It may look like a “standard” and traditional engagement ring, but what’s wrong with that? Proposing like that, it was probably a surprise, so it seems to me he picked a good ring (would you want to be surprised with something really outlandish that may not be your style?)
That’s a really cool way to propose, hope they have a really fun wedding too.
