This Wedding Cake is the Bomb

Funny Wedding Photos - This Wedding Cake is the Bomb

Submitted by: Unknown

So this is like a “Baby, you make my heart explode!” kind of thing? ‘Cause I assume it’s not in reference to “Our love is like a ticking time bomb.” That would be a little negative.

Although truthfully, my biggest concern when I see a wedding cake is, “Can I eat it easily?” And in this instance, I’m not so sure. Are those wires an edible garnish? Doubtful. Is someone going to inevitably eat a slice of “groom’s feet”? Probably. On a scale of 1-10, I’m going to say this cake is only a 6 or 7 unless they’ve hidden a real firework or something inside and it explodes mid-reception. Then it would be awesome.

thats not a bomb at all….. i’m guessing their both electrical engineers

they are sitting on an adjustable power supply feeding in to a proto board and what can only guess to be like 20 aruntos, you know for blog cred

Is it really a bomb? Looks like some electronic device to me. You have circuit boards, resistors and such.

  3. Yui Daoren says:

    Bomb?
Clearly a cake for the marriage of a couple of electronics geeks.
    Marzipan break-out board FTW!

I think it is supposed to look like a count down of some sort and I guess they just kept the theme of decorating it with the inner workings repeated over and over

  5. Archwright says:

Yup, that’s totally a powersupply and an embedded device.

(Note: there is no time display. That’s the Volt supply and Amp draw).

  6. Alli says:

Ok, let’s think about the long term issues this can cause for them. Traditionally you freeze the top tier to save it for your first anniversary. Imagine the shock of some unsuspecting house guest who stumbles upon this in their freezer!

  7. Mike says:

As a baker by trade, I’d be guessing that the decorations are all made from marzipan and sugar, with the possible exception of the actual wires sticking out.
    Nice bit of work!

  8. George Johnson says:

Yeah, not a bomb. Probably a couple of electronic geeks. Note the breadboard with what looks like a single processor driving a LCD. Probably has some wedding message on it. And that’s a power supply or multi-meter they’re sitting on.

Doesn’t look like a bomb but the clock on which they sit with a timer ticking down kinda would make it seem that way, fair call imo but the mass of transistors and what look to be mother boards makes me think power supply to computer style set up. Nice cake, i have a feeling those wires are eadible.

¡¡Somebody set up us the bomb!!

  11. Whether they’re terrorist or electronic geeks, this is a good cake!

That’s what Chuck and Sarah’s cake will look like. When they get married.

    Love that show.

I would like to point out that last computer gadgetry I bought was obsolete by the time my credit card transaction was approved. Then for the next couple of years I was able to add on stuff to keep it running. But eventually I had to replace it with a newer and better model.

Looks like these two love birds have accepted the fact that in time they will both upgrade. Let’s face it. A marriage built on an oscilloscope just can’t last for ever. Eventually he will want to run LINUX and she will lemming-like follow the Windoze path.

She will divorce him and end up with a new Dell that looks great and runs for the first 30 days then spend the next 10 years fighting with viruses and trojans (read “kids”). And the rest of the time will be spent on hold with their miserable customer support (read “being ignored while the game is on”).

He’ll end up alone, dreaming about a super hot GUI with a UNIX core but be too leet to accept that OSX is his dream girl because she has the personality of a varsity cheerleader from an 80s movie.

There. I did it. Started a Mac vs. Windows vs. UNIX/LINUX flame war in a Cheezburger thread on weddings!!!

    NINTH1DER — FTW!!!!!
