It’s times like these that I am extra-impressed with today’s cake technology. How awesome is that digitally accurate edible photo of the Stargate?! Obviously symbolic of all of the other-worldly explorations the couple plans to get into…if you know what I’m sayin’! Bow chicka wow wow. Score one for the nerds!

This is so completely amazing! I love Stargate, SG-1 and Atlantis (No Stargate Universe!) and I never expected to see this on Wedinator, despite all the video game and other movie references that I only understood half of

I saw that one on Cake Wrecks (as a non wreck), the decorator hand painted the iris of the star gate. It’s not an edible image… well it is edible.
I’m going to say they’re emerging. Maybe to Edora. Seems like a nice planet.
Ooh, I made one similar to this for my step-daughter’s birthday a few years back, but not as good as this!

It’s not the worst offense to weddings that I originally thought it was. The gate is symbollically ring-shaped and its representative of taking a journey. You could do worse for cake imagery. Still not my wedding cake.
My future spouse needs to be a Stargate fan so I can have this cake.

The Stargate is not missing a Chevron i can assure you, there are 7. And how do i know this? Because it was my wedding cake.
The artiste involved didn’t get paid anything for this materpiece as it was the brides mother who made it. The wormhole connection / event horizon is indeed hand painted icing…. there is no edible digital images on the cake whatsoever.
