Surprise Band of Horses Serenade is Adorable

“Norwegian lovers Njal and Elin got engaged at a Band of Horses concert in Oslo. When BoH were informed of this, they did what any band would do: They showed up unannounced at the couple’s wedding ceremony to surprise them with a private performance of “Marry Song.”

Famous bands are the best wedding crashers ever.

Awesome band, saw them open for Pearl Jam earlier this year and loved their performance and sound. This is enough that it inspired me to buy their album.

I wanted to see the reactions of everyone when the band showed up unannounced. The bridal party seemed too calm in this video.

    1. No idea who the band is.
    2. After that vid, where the audio quality sounded like it was coming from a phone, I’m not sure I want to know who they are.

  5. Ana says:

aww, that’s neat! If the perfect place for a proposal was at one of their concerts, I’m sure the band means something important to the couple. I would like to know how they managed to set all that up, though… did the band stalk the couple? Did a good friend on the inside do something totally awesome? So many questions!

they contacted the band when they found out they were going to be in town so it wouldnt have been that big a suprise when they decided to show up i guess…

Didn’t know about this band, so I was expecting actual horses like…clomping in time or something.
