Barnum and Bailey

Funny Wedding Photos - Barnum and Bailey

Submitted by: dunno source via Submit Page

The cross on the wall makes it official: In front of God, their friends and family, and Bananas the monkey, these two are now husband and wife…clowns.

I’m kind of jealous of the people who attended the wedding. A clown couple reception is probably really fun. Jugglers, acrobats, maybe a few caterers on stilts…like a circus with an open bar. What could be better than that?!

Mystery Finally Settles Down

Funny Wedding Photos - Mystery Finally Settles Down

OK, we’re starting to get into some Halloween territory. Starting now, all Wedinator posts through the weekend will be inspired by the spirit of All Saints Day. What does this mean? Well, it means I’m only posting submissions that include costumes, or scary stuff, or Halloween-y stuff….let’s just say it’ll be pretty obvious. And what better way to start than with the couple above?

Looks like the groom took several notes out of The Mystery Method, amirite? Ladies do love crushed velvet top hats with matching robes. Or at least, this one does. She’s even got one for herself. Romantic!

INVISIBLE BRIDE

Funny Wedding Photos - INVISIBLE BRIDE

Submitted by: Unknown

Oh, brides and their tricks. Where’d she go?! Is she hiding underneath that ginormous skirt? Did she spray it with a special glue so it would stand up on its own while she ran out to grab a sandwich? Is she hoping no one will notice she’s gone? I’m totally busting her cover. :( Poor invisible bride.

Looks Like This Marriage Will Have a Rocky Start

Funny Wedding Photos - Looks Like This Marriage Will Have a Rocky Start

Hmm. Is she attempting to look like an arachnid bride? If so, she’s doing a great job despite only showing two of her limbs. Or maybe she’s just showing off her stellar crab-walking moves. Or maybe she’s just pretending to be dead? Regardless, that pose doesn’t look very comfortable and neither does that giant pile of jagged rocks. Whatever happened to just posing by pretty fountain or something? Wait…

In Lieu of a First Dance, We Have Opted for First Folklore Performance Art

Funny Wedding Photos - In Lieu of a First Dance, We Have Opted for a First Folklore Performance Art

First, we will read aloud some poetry dedicated to this momentous occasion. Then we’ll have a special flautist whom we had flown in from Russia do a rendition of our favorite song, which harkens back to traditional Russian literature and children’s faery tales.

Finally, we’ll open up the performance to include our wonderful guests, requesting that each of our friends and relatives interpret their favorite oral narrative for us. You may come and stand before us to perform your folktales, after which we will lightly clap so that the bride’s wings and the groom’s hair style do not become loose.

Wedding Vows Renewal in Maldvies was a Big Sham

Oct. 28, 2010

C’mon, folks. Don’t go to the Maldives and renew your vows without an interpreter. Bad things can happen. Things you won’t understand until you post your video on YouTube.

The Daily What:

Translator-less Western couple pays $1,300 to have their marriage vows renewed at the Vilu Reef resort in the Maldives, gets a Dhivehi-speaking officiant who curses them out and proclaims their marriage invalid under the guise of ceremony. (Starts @ 1:20.)

Police are investigating the matter.

Yeesh. I wish the couple lots of luck and common sense the next time ’round.

So… Are We Sure This is a Wedding Photo?

Funny Wedding Photos - So... Are We Sure This is a Wedding Photo?

Or…an incredibly bizarre Olan Mills photo shoot? Is this Wedinator material or Awkward Family Photos material? Or both?

I’m not sure who coordinated the t-shirt sizes, but I’ll just say that either the manufacturer should have recommended “ordering up a size” or a few people stretched their idea of a Medium. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but those shirts are an interesting choice of garment for a (supposed) wedding. I guess I’ve always just been more a fan of the fake formal tuxedo shirt over the fake bowtie-hipster shirt. Still, they look like a fun bunch. And assuming the couple in front got married, I wish them the best. Even though I’m still confused. For instance, why is the groom in a Director’s Chair?
