Wow, he’s a one-hander. That’s how you can tell the true skill of a didgeridoo player. Which is so great, because at first I was like, “Haha, check out this hippie with his running shoes playing a didgeridoo into a microphone! What a tool!” But now I realize he is a talented musician. Big difference. Not to mention, what a thoughtful and creative way to toast to the couple!

You know what goes well with love? A Blue Berry Blast iced beverage from the local 7-Eleven. Nothing says, “I do” at the altar like a pair of bright blueberry lips. Here’s to hoping no one got any stains on their clothes, though. Slurpee stains are a bitch to get out of white wedding dresses.

Love was in the air During Fall Color Flight

Oct. 25, 2010

Jill Bowers had quite the surprise while traveling aboard EAA’s Ford Tri-Motor during Fall Color Flight. Flying with her daughter, Kendall, and her boyfriend, Paul Reynebeau, the airplane took off from Pioneer Airport and banked over Wittman Regional when Jill noticed colored letters on the convention taxiway that read, “JILL, WILL U MARRY ME? -PAUL”. At the same time, Paul pulled out an engagement ring to officially pop the question, which was met with a happy “yes!” from the bride-to-be.

It all came together when Paul asked EAA if they could help him propose to his girlfriend in a unique way. After devising a plan, hundreds of colored traffic cones were placed on the open ramp at AeroShell Square to form the magic words. After Jill accepted, the rest of the Tri-Motor passengers applauded. Welch radioed the Oshkosh control tower and volunteers and visitors on the ground at Pioneer Airport, who also cheered for the happy couple when the aircraft landed. Aww!

And With This Ring Tattoo, I Promise to Never Leaf You

Funny Wedding Photos - And With This Ring Tattoo, I Promise to Never Leaf You

Submitted by: Unknown

Am I the only person who looked at this and thought, “So what, their commitment is seasonal?” Answer: Probably. Most people think ring tattoos are romantic, convenient and cost-effective. And usually, they are! Unless you find out that your leaf-long partner has been raking up some lovin’ in someone else’s backyard. If you catch my drift. Heh. Then you’re just stuck explaining that random leaf tattoo you have on your ring finger for the rest of your life.

Sure Beats Walking Down the Aisle

Funny Wedding Photos - Sure Beats Walking Down the Aisle

Today is apparently the day to make a grand entrance without necessarily using your own two feet. Why “walk” down the aisle like some kind of peasant when you could get hauled by a ski lift? Makes sense to me. It’s gotta be nice up there in the springtime. Breezy! Plus, it gives the bride one last opportunity to test her commitment to getting married. Should she change her mind, there’s always a quick exit! Kidding…kidding…

Bros Icing Grooms: A Love Story

Oct. 25, 2010

Funny Wedding Photos - Bros Icing Grooms

Submitted by: Unknown

According to the submitter, “The groom got what is known as “iced” in which a friend gave him a 24 oz bottle of Smirnoff Ice wrapped in a paper bag in lieu of a wedding gift. Upon opening the bag the groom was forced by bro-law to get down on one knee and guzzle the whole bottle. Suffice it to say that this wedding was epic.”

That pretty much sums it all up. Although I think it’s fair to add that the happiest day of MY life probably won’t include drinking a 24 oz bottle of Smirnoff Ice down on bended knee. That s*** is nasty. The bride looks grossed out just looking at it. But I understand that everyone’s got their preferences, and only weenies pass up an “iced” dare.

There’s a Hitch Pun in Here Somewhere…

Funny Wedding Photos - There's a Hitch Pun in Here Somewhere...

The ladies do like a grand entrance! I’m just surprised that dozers are such a popular method of achieving the effect. Doesn’t the metal edge hurt your ass? Judging by the look on the bride’s face, I’m going with “yes.” Maybe this is like a rite of passage for farmers and ranchers? One last painful hurdle for the bride to overcome before getting married to the love of her life? Seems like punishment to me. I think I’d rather ride in on a horse or in a wagon or something.
