As someone who identifies as Irish annually on the one day it’s cool to, I approve of this cake. No leprechaun figures or giant shamrocks or unappetizing green icing. Just a nice simple design and tasteful usage of angles and white space.
Only, at a St. Patrick’s Day wedding I would imagine not a lot of the guests are conscious enough to appreciate such artistry. Next time do what I do and stick gummy frogs on Ho-ho’s.

Pretty!
Is there one day when it’s cool to be Scottish?
Robbie Burns Day
It’s cool everyday. Lol,
All Saints Day, 1 November – “All Saints’ Day is a Christian holy day observed by many Western churches on November 1 and by Eastern churches on the first Sunday after Pentecost. The day now honors all saints of the church, even those not known by name.”
Samhain, 1 November – “Samhain (Scots Gaelic: Samhuinn – ‘summer’s end’) marks one of the two great doorways of the Celtic year, for the Celts divided the year into two seasons: the light and the dark, at Beltane on May 1st and Samhain on November 1st. Some believe that Samhain was the more important festival, marking the beginning of a whole new cycle, just as the Celtic day began at night. For it was understood that in dark silence comes whisperings of new beginnings, the stirring of the seed below the ground.”
My family still celebrates the latter of the two. ^.^
Sounds like a family reunion to me.
okay, but am i the only one who thinks that design, when turned upside down for the 3rd tier, looks like some kind of mutant green crustacean climbing up the side of the cake?
just sayin’…
Nope, you’re not alone.
I’m wondering if it got put on upside down by accident. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me that it’s the opposite way up to the top tier.
Meh.
