Yes, but if they don’t like their bridesmaids outfits they need only wait for their fur to grow back. No salmon-colored frock hogging perfectly good closet space or donation trips to the thrift store. A bride’s best friends, indeed!

76 year-old Phyllis Siegel (standing) and 84 year-old Connie Kopelov celebrate as the first couple to marry at a New York City clerk’s office on July 24th.
