A few days ago “The Philadelphia Daily News” magazine ran an article about a gay woman and a New Jersey bridal shop that refused to sell her a dress for her wedding. Since then the store’s yelp page has been flooded by angry reviews by keyboard vigilantes. Many state outright they are awarding the store one star because of its refusal of service to the lesbian bride-to-be, but others appear to be made up stories about bad experiences at Here Comes The Bride. Some examples:

The 85-year-old Duchess of Alba, one of Spain’s wealthiest and most flamboyant socialites who is worth billions, has offered to give up all of her riches to marry her 61-year-old (non-royal) boyfriend. The row started when her children were disapproving of their mother marrying for a third time. So the Duchess offered to give them everything so she could get wed in peace. What do you think? Romantic good idea or just plain pathetic? Whatever it may be, I’m going with “good idea” just because I like her moxy!

I can see the happy, quirky wedding, and the couple is happy and all that. But may I just take a moment to express my condolences to the lone groomsmen who had to carry down the aisle the iPad her bridesmaid was using to attend? I mean, that’s gotta be pretty awkward for him. Really.
