I don’t think I like these knife-near-throat pictures anymore. At first I found them amusing, but really people, stop pretending to stab your partner! Stop holding a giant knife up to your soul mate’s face! It’s creeping me out.

If you’re going to make a shoe cake, practice it a couple times before the big day. Making one that looks like crap is sad on its own, but adding a few cheap waxy votives and random berry branches just sends me into a depression spiral. Unless the candles are meant to be used to set the cake on fire. That I could understand.
I find that it’s best to hire bakers who aren’t always drunk to make your wedding cake. Or who at least know how to garnish properly. C’mon now with this cake.
This cake is sort of obvious, but in a good way. Scrabble is a wonderful game, and weddings are wonderful events. It only makes sense that the two come together in cake form. I don’t know if I’m fully on board with the springy letters, but I’d eat the hell out of a piece of LAUGHTER.
Let’s break this down: Bees + Twinkies + Drizzled Chocolate + Wedding = ….? What? Is this like a nectar collecting of sorts? That cake is looking dangerously sweet. (ZING! Ehhhh.)

Oooh! It’s so…geometric. Is this a traditional style of cake that I’m unaware of? Do certain cultures have fancy mosaic cakes to celebrate a couple’s union? It would be cool if the comprised pieces made a giant photograph like you can do with digital pixels. The “stain glass” looking mosaic concept is cool, but the photo one would be wayyy cooler.
Pardon me for being so dense, but what exactly are these cake toppers? I’ve given it some thought and narrowed my guesses down to two:
1. Duh, it’s the wedding party in cake topper form. They stand in unity as they wish their friends a wonderful life together.
2. Duh, it’s the bride and groom marching to the top of the cake like slow motion action figures in a time lapse. Sooo obvious!
So which one is it? Anyone have any other ideas? Enlighten me!
