I know this is supposed to be both eerie and romantic, but I’m just picking up the eerie part. The horses are beautiful, but I feel like I’m looking at a ghost bride. A ghost bride who may or may not have Rachel Maddow’s hair cut.

If you’re going to make a shoe cake, practice it a couple times before the big day. Making one that looks like crap is sad on its own, but adding a few cheap waxy votives and random berry branches just sends me into a depression spiral. Unless the candles are meant to be used to set the cake on fire. That I could understand.

Confederate Flag Garter On a Birkenstock?

This may be the first garter I’ve seen that can be classified as an oxymoron. Or, at least, none of the Birkenstock-wearing folks *I* know have Confederate flags wrapped around their upper thigh. But maybe I’m alone on that.

Pardon me for being so dense, but what exactly are these cake toppers? I’ve given it some thought and narrowed my guesses down to two:

1. Duh, it’s the wedding party in cake topper form. They stand in unity as they wish their friends a wonderful life together.

2. Duh, it’s the bride and groom marching to the top of the cake like slow motion action figures in a time lapse. Sooo obvious!

So which one is it? Anyone have any other ideas? Enlighten me!

It’s amazing how the human face can contort, isn’t it? I’m sure this woman has a perfectly nice face when she doesn’t look like she just walked in on her grandparents having sex, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at this picture. Calm down, bridesmaid! It’s just an ugly necklace! Or mole. Or something.
