Well that’s one way to go about it:

A Chicago woman called 911 – to try to get police to scare her boyfriend into proposing to her.

Ana Perez, 40, from the city’s Northwest side, claimed her boyfriend was attacking her when she called the emergency number.

But when police arrived, she changed her story, admitting she was trying to scare her boyfriend into marrying her.

Perez was charged with disorderly conduct. She and her boyfriend have since broken up.

As if we needed more proof that crazy stuff goes down in Chi-town, amirite?! KIDDING. I kid.

I hope there’s a handy snap on her dress that allows the train to come off easily, ’cause that looks like the biggest, longest pain in the ass dress EVER. I thought I’d already seen the worst of the worst, but clearly I was wrong. I’m pretty sure there’s enough fabric on this woman’s dress to clothe entire third world countries. I don’t even know how they transported it all to that sunflower field — an 18-wheeler, perhaps? Good luck doing the Electric Slide in that thing.

‘Retail wedding trend leads to “I do’s” at T.J. Maxx, Taco Bell’

Hey, you don’t need to tell Wedinator HQ about the surge in retail weddings! We’ve seen plenty of ‘em! But as of today, these bad boys are officially a Trend. Take the couple pictured above: They “went to the local Home Depot for their Midsummer Night’s Dream wedding because they spent so much time there. The store put up a floral arbor using products off the shelves.”

How…romantic? Not that I understand the connection between Home Depot and Shakespeare, but hey, it’s what made them happy! And that’s what retail weddings are all about. Here are a few other places to look out for weddings as you shop and/or eat:

- T.J. Maxx
- Cold Stone Creamery
- Taco Bell
- Bass Pro Shops (OK, we added that one. You snooze, you lose, USA TODAY!)

Love and retail: A marriage do they make.

Pardon for me moment while I just …YOOOOOWWWWWZZZZAA!!! I know the act of suicide suspension ”is sometimes used for meditation supposedly to gain a higher level of spiritual fulfillment or awareness,” but I’m having a hard time looking at it. Even the officiant is sporting a nervous sideways-glance.

Sinking deep-sea fish hooks into my back and getting suspended by a complex rigging system just doesn’t sound like a rollicking good time to me. Especially on my wedding day, wearing St. Patrick’s Day colors, in the woods. But hey, to each his own!

So…is this wedding taking place in the community garden of a mental institution? ‘Cuz Broom Lady seems to be gliding down the aisle with her “date”, and the bridesmaid in the foreground is carrying a bizarrely random basket a la Little Red Riding Hood (off to see Grandma?).

Even the dresses seem like institutional standby bridesmaids’ gowns reserved in the ‘Dress-Up Closet’, like they were made a couple decades ago and keep getting recycled. But hey, as long as everyone’s happy, I’m happy.

Usually the mother-in-law is the crazy one. Too controlling, too nitpicky, too protective. But in this case, I’d say the groom is totally freakin’ nuts. If that’s his “fake” angry face, I’m scared to think of what his real one looks like. He is dangerously close to having a unibrow (the signature of all crazy people).

“Am I amusing to you? You think I’m funny? I can’t go outside and get dirty kicking your friggin’ ass because I’m in a lily white dress, is that it? Try me.”

OK, OK… This site isn’t only about making fun of New Jersey. The truth is, this woman reminds me of an old roommate I had who was totally fucking nuts. And this is exactly what she would look like in a wedding dress. Except she’d also be screaming, “I will break you, you whore!” Longest three months of my LIFE.
