My husband was pretty…. exuberant in the fetching of the garter. LOL I think he managed to flash the crowd for me.
There’s really nothing more awkward than a timid groom removing the garter from an overly-bashful bride. It’s a lot better to go at it with gusto, I always say.

Ahem, sorry, just being a typical Seattleite totally overcome with Seattle Sounders FC madness. This is definitely one garter the groomsmen will be scrambling to catch (unless they’re Timbers fans!).

It’s important to not miss ANY part of the big day. No matter what’s happening, a camera must be present to capture the precious memories. Ideally, there’d be a camera, a boom mic, a live reporter and a photographer handy, and it looks like this bride has most of those elements set in place. Good work, bride. You’ll never, EVER forget this day.

Wow, he’s practically standing up in there. It’s not an Easter egg hunt, groom, it’s a garter! And it’s usually easier to take off if you allow your bride to take a seat.
PS: Stop tickling. You’re creeping out the lady with the microphone who wishes you’d just focus on the task at hand so she can announce the winner of the wedding raffle.

I like this picture because it shows that someone had the foresight to collect all of these handy tools just for a quirky photo opp. But then, I don’t like this picture because it leads my mind down a dangerous path. Props are good things right up to the point where my imagination conceives of what the props are for. After that it’s just unsettling.
