Funny Wedding Photos - The Cake That Lasts Forever

Happy Delicious Saturday!

We’ve seen a similar version of this perfectly healthy and practical wedding cake style before. But damn, it still looks tasty. And really, nothing goes better with Saturdays than Twinkies (and beer).

Why spend hundreds – if not thousands – on a fancy cake when you can construct a Twinkie cake for around $4? You can’t argue with logic, y’all.

The Hostess with the Mostess

Oct. 21, 2009

Before you shell out big bucks for a wedding cake that only a third of your guests will eat, consider the Recession Bakery and Chocolate Shoppe, AKA your local gas station! Hostess snack cakes have really come a long way. Well, OK, they haven’t, but hot DAMN do those things taste good.

Here are a few of this season’s yummiest styles…

Funny Wedding Photos - Epic Hostess Cake

This beaut is comprised of Twinkies, Cup Cakes, Ding Dongs, Ho Hos, Suzy Q’s, Sno Balls and Mini Muffins. It’s my drunk fantasies come true!

Feeling formal? I recommend the Ding Dong Decadence, pictured left. She looks fantastic when served on a polished silver tray. Or perhaps you’re keeping things a little more low-key? Try the Tasty Twinkie Tower, featuring adorable, edible and true-to-life Twinkie Toppers! (Note: “Cake Cummerbund” Bows cost extra.)

This version follows the KISS principle. Why bother stacking and shaping a fancy cake out of individual snacks when you could just unwrap-and-display? Takes no time at all! And yet, equally as delicious.
