Nerdy Game Proposal: Ring of Engagement

Jan. 11, 2011

Funny Wedding Photos - Nerdy Game Proposal

The submitter says, “This homemade card was used to propose marriage in a card game called Munchkin.” Honestly, I don’t care what the game was called; any surprise proposal game card that says this is pretty awesome: “If the answer is no then everyone is dead…of embarrassment and the game is over since you will probably need to have a long conversation.” Nerd humor is priceless.

Whole Lotta Strumming Results in Teary Proposal

Jan. 8, 2011

Submitted by: Unknown

The submitter said, “Dj Armijo and William Montgomery playing beautiful song for DJ’s girlfriend, then he surprises her by proposing afterwards. This was also on Christmas Eve.”

OK. I can dig it. I mean, let’s be real, that song was WAYYYYYY long, but it was also nice. I’m not hatin’. Just saying…one could feasibly watch like 45 seconds of guitar strumming and then the last 10 seconds of the video to get the effect. Well-played, though (literally!). That girl was sobbing buckets.

Marry Me! Marry Me, Giant Bride!!!

Funny Wedding Photos - Marry Me! Marry Me, Giant Bride!!!

She’s got a bit of a Paula Deen look on her face. Like she’s ready to pop a stick of butter in the microwave, pour it over top of her tiny groom, and chow down with a tall glass of milk. I wish him all the luck in the world.

Metro’s “Win The Cover” Proposal Ends With a “YES!”

Nov. 17, 2010

Submitted by: rosieb

Jon Ireland was one of the winners of this week’s Metro Win the Cover contest, winning over the hearts of thousands of commuters in the UK who saw his marriage proposal to his partner of five years, Ben Collins. It was a well-orchestrated surprise, since Jon knew Ben typically grabbed a Metro on his way to work, and it ended in success when Ben said yes! That is, after he got a ton of phone calls from friends asking if he’d seen it yet. “The pair were able to get through to each other a few hours later – after Ben initially texted Jon with the promise: ‘I’m going to kill you!’”

Aww. Sweet surprise proposals don’t get much better than that. Plus, a touch of nation-wide embarrassment never hurt anybody. Congrats to the grooms-to-be on their future together!

Finnish Graffiti Proposal

Nov. 1, 2010

Funny Wedding Photos -Finnish Graffiti Proposal

Submitted by: Unknown

The submitter says, “A Finnish guy proposed to his girlfriend by making a graffiti. The text in this picture in English is translated to: (Guy says:) Tiina, will you marry me? (Beneath that:) The answer is: YES!”

Um, who wouldn’t say yes to this?! A guy envisions himself as a Simpsons character with a goatee and whips up a badass graffiti proposal for his girlfriend whom he wants to spend the rest of his life with and she has an answer other than yes?? I think not! This mural totally rules. (I dare to say it rules more than these did.)

Popping the Question: Hope She’s Not a Coke Fan

Funny Wedding Photos - Popping the Question

Submitted by: Lyndsi Source: People of Walmart

Is “Steph” part of a viral marketing campaign? She’s been proposed to via a stack of Pepsi cases and via the Domino’s marquee. What a lucky lady. She can have her wedding ring and eat dinner, too!

Unless of course there are two different Stephs, which is probably the case, which is even stranger. I’m thinking the two grooms should have teamed up and shared their food and drink over a celebratory couples’ engagement meal.

Wait, Am I Supposed to Assume That’s a Dude’s Handwriting?

Funny Wedding Photos - Wait, Am I Supposed to Assume That's a Dude's Handwriting?

Well, it’s kind of rambling and the point behind the letter is essentially, “Hey, baby, I got this ROCK for ya!”, but I still think this love note is very sweet. I mean that IS one hell of a rock so I can see why there’s a whole build-up to it and everything.

I just hope the person proposing really took this “rock” concept all the way and started playing “Ice, Ice Baby” while the proposal was being read. You know, for emphasis. Ladies lurve the diamonds.
