This is like the consummate nerdtastic wedding cake. It’s pretty awesome, so I can why it would be featured on Dorkly. But here’s what I don’t understand: What’s up with all the candy displays surrounding it? Giant lollipops, jelly beans, licorice….it’s all delicious-looking, but why are they there?

The submitter says, “This is an OLD D&D joke. Just to make our Ren wedding more nerdy (could it get more nerdy), we made sure to attack the Gazebo.”
OK, I’m gonna be honest here: I have a few friends who play D&D, but I basically know nothing about it. That being said, I think this picture is very funny. Especially since I have no idea what’s going on. I didn’t even do a Google search to find out what it means, because it’s kind of funnier to just not know. I know you guys are all going to tell me what it means in the comments, but for a few precious minutes, it was funnier not knowing.

Look how ironic! They are just so darn quirky. Actually, I do like the Groucho Marx mask the bride is wearing. I hope she wore it during the ceremony. There’s something wonderfully natural about the way it fits her face.

Listen, I don’t mean to be rude (well, OK, sometimes I do), but I’d let my 4-year-old nephew go up against these “Jedi” without so much as a switchblade. I’m just not convinced that these guys know how to engage in battle, much less use their light sabers properly. None of them is giving me that “freeze or I’ll be forced to kill you” feeling. The barefoot guy looks like he’s about to take a walk on the beach for crying out loud. They clearly need a lot of training.

These Dalek bride and groom cake toppers are even more badass (and fancy!) than this one. Here’s a comment from the other post that sums them up nicely:
“CUTTHECAKE! CROQUEMBOUCHATE! COHABITATE! HURLBOUQUET! MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE! LIFELONG MATE! CHAMPAGNATE! EX…TER…MIN…CAKE!
I wonder, was it a death-ray wedding?”
ZING!
