You know how they say you should marry the person who could see yourself with even if you had poor health, no money and no prospects? Like if the world handed you a huge bag of horse manure you would still love each other and support each other until the day you die? Well, I kinda think this couple fits the bill. I also think if you ever want to find your true love all you need to do is shoot an imaginary set of pistols at yourself in a window, ’cause apparently it works really well. Try it!

Ah, so now we have an explanation for this post — I get it! I love it when things come full circle. I should have thought of it already, considering the rash of retail weddings going around these days.

To that end, don’t think of this couple marrying at Walmart as cheap or redneck; think of them as trendy. They’re ahead of the curve. Not only do they get to recite their vows in their favorite store, but they can get an eye exam, “professional” wedding portraits and a large basket of nachos on the way out. That’s not trashy — it’s just good sense!

Here are a couple of weddings involving an array of WTF fashion choices that I can’t really understand…except for the badass mohawks:

The officiant couldn’t be bothered to wear a sleeved leather jacket over his tuxedo tee, but the groom looks pretty great. Standing there with his vows in hand and his hair standing on end, I’m reminded of what true love really is. Same with this guy:

Yes, the Maid Of Honor has on a tacky coral-colored dress with matching shoes (?!), but the groom is stylin’. He made sure his hair looked just right before heading to his otherwise traditional wedding ceremony, and I like that. I like thinking he spent more time getting ready than the bride did. It just seems romantic. Plus, no one has any fish hooks in their back, and that’s always helpful.

This is the first time I’ve seen a romantic variation of the saying, “Why don’t you just go play in traffic!” And I think I like it! The open road at their feet….the potential for an epic game of chicken at any given moment…très sentimental. I just hope there wasn’t any roadkill nearby. That always ruins the mood on a freeway photoshoot.

It looks like the bride is rather enjoying her groom in the buff. Their love doesn’t need much — just a killer tattoo artist and a few boxes of Twinkies. I appreciate that kind of raw passion. Sh*t’s beautiful.

A custom wedding band should reflect your true personality. After all, you’re (ideally) going to be wearing it for a very long time. That was the idea behind the above USB wedding ring given to a Microsoft game developer by his decidely non-geeky fiancé. She may not share his passion for tech, but hey, she’s got a sense of humor and a great eye for gold jewelry!

Unfortunately the USB drive isn’t functional, but “the interior is engraved with the words, “For a lifetime of memories,” an allusion to the USB’s storage capabilities.” Now THAT is romance.

Weddings that only center around love and caring are BOR-ING. Talk about a yawnfest. “I love you forever, blah blah blah.” This couple is PROVING they love each other!

How can you really know the person you’re marrying is The One if you’ve never saved each other from certain death? Look at them bonding in the jungle. That’s pretty powerful stuff. Everbody should have an action movie wedding.
