The submitter says, “This wedding cake features superhero logos & such.” Good explanation! I especially like the gold “rope” icing around the base. It might not taste good, but it’s shiny! I kind of feel like overall the cake looks like a parade float. A parade float of awesome.

Here’s what I love about this cake: Aside from being totally awesome, the submitter/bride sent it in with a note that she’d heard that “I like Super Mario wedding cakes.” So not only did she send in this masterpiece of cuteness, she informed me that I’m actually known for my love of Mario cakes. Crossing my fingers that means one winds up on my doorstep one day very soon…

This is like the consummate nerdtastic wedding cake. It’s pretty awesome, so I can why it would be featured on Dorkly. But here’s what I don’t understand: What’s up with all the candy displays surrounding it? Giant lollipops, jelly beans, licorice….it’s all delicious-looking, but why are they there?

The submitter says, “The red car is my 1949 Plymouth Deluxe, the white is a 1952 Ford Pickup. The cars in front represent our kids.” Aww, so sweet. Together they make a giant garage. Maybe even a parking deck. That’s true love, right there. Garages unite!
I can’t say I’ve ever wanted to eat a magical forest, but now that I’m seeing what one looks like in cake form…bring it on! Ferns, fungus, butterflies…they all look strangely delicious. Plus, I hear if you eat a slice of fairy cake your chances of seeing a unicorn increase by like a thousand percent.

Mmmm, nothing like a little ocean spray on a thick slice of beach-inspired wedding cake. Tropical! I just hope no one eats any of those sand dollars … you guys remember the Sand Dollar Death cake, right?! Danger!!
