On a scale of deliciousness, this cake looks like a fon-DON’T. (Heh. Heh.) But on a scale of awesomeness it’s pretty sweet. For those who are unsure, “a “katamari” is a magical ball that allows anything smaller than it to stick to it and make it grow—and collect enough material to recreate the stars and constellations.” In other words, this is a cake that has geek appeal and is adorably romantic. I bow to its greatness.

Did you know today is Star Wars Day? It’s true. And awesome. Let’s celebrate by staring at Star Wars-themed cakes that other people got to eat, starting with AT-AT deliciousness at its finest:

This cake is super sweet on multiple levels. The only thing that would make it better is if it was an ice cream cake. (Is the white slab supposed to be ice?) But overall it looks good and appears easy to cut…unlike this R2D2 cake:

Aww. It’s a celebration, not a sacrifice! Do they HAVE to eat him? He’s just so cute. Plus, how does one request a slice of R2D2? “I’d like a piece of his hologram projector, please!” It just seems cruel. And yet, oh-so-tasty. Mmmm…droids.
