A recycling company worker displays a lost wedding ring found in the bin.
28 year-old Martin wright from England lost his wedding ring while throwing away cardboard in a recycling bin. Unable to reach anyone at the waste contractor’s office by phone because it was Sunday, he desperately tweeted, “Just dropped my wedding ring into a cardboard recycling container. All the phone numbers on the box are closed. What can I do?” Martin sent the message along with a photo of the recycling bin, and in just 30 minutes an employee of the waste contractor called him to say he would cancel the next day’s collection. The next morning, staff searched the bin and found his ring in a discarded box of tea bags. Martin has been married to his wife for 18 months and is reportedly under suspicion this was a plot to relieve him of trash duties.

Video game fans continue to prove my theory that Zelda games are the most romantic. Check out this amazing (and real!) sapphire and white gold wedding ring that DeviantART user ushiyasha designed for her own wedding! Must have taken quite a lot of grass cutting to get enough rupees for that!

Looks like they’re serious about these rings getting to the altar safely. They called in a professional.

Or just a lifetime of awkward handshakes? Laura and Chris Sheriff fell in love over their mutual love of video games. Apparently, Chris knew she was “the one” when Laura got a Bejeweled Blitz score so high that even he couldn’t best it. To commemorate this great story, PopCap (makers of Bejeweled) presented them with some serious, like we’re talking glacier-esque, faux ice for their one-year anniversary.
