Think your wedding ring kicks ass? Well, I hate to tell you this, but it doesn’t kick as much ass as Luke Jerram’s stanhopes-inspired ring that he custom-designed for his wife with help from a local jeweler. The ring “contains a tiny photographic slide paired with a lens. When illuminated by an equally small light source—Jerram says even a candle will work—the couple will have four adorable images of themselves projected wherever they go.”

Cutest thing you ever did see? I thought so, too. It’s like an old slide projector featuring you and your mate! Awesome.

A custom wedding band should reflect your true personality. After all, you’re (ideally) going to be wearing it for a very long time. That was the idea behind the above USB wedding ring given to a Microsoft game developer by his decidely non-geeky fiancé. She may not share his passion for tech, but hey, she’s got a sense of humor and a great eye for gold jewelry!

Unfortunately the USB drive isn’t functional, but “the interior is engraved with the words, “For a lifetime of memories,” an allusion to the USB’s storage capabilities.” Now THAT is romance.

Yeeeiiiiikkesss. I thought you said the wedding band matched nicely with my tiara? This looks like something the drain coughed up in 1976. Not that I don’t love it, but wow. Is this really considered the creme de la creme like you said? I feel like my pedicure cost more than this hunk o’ junk. Not that I’m not so, so appreciative. I can’t wait to wear it! I’m just a little surprised by its….charm.

This is a ring that will always remind me and my husband of all the late nights we spent up chatting online – wayyy before we ever met face-to-face. *Sigh.* Those nights really were amazing. I look at the ring and think about how those chat sessions were so much better than actual married life.
