Wedding trailers have become super trendy and I kinda love them. Screw the “fairytale” image of yore typically associated with weddings and their princess brides with tiaras and diamonds and lavish bows. Half of all marriages end in divorce anyway, right? Bring on the explosions, cliched trailer-speak (“In a world…”) and witty jokes!

Weddings are supposed to be FUN. What’s fun about a plain white wedding invitation with curly font lettering? Nothing. What’s fun about an action-packed trailer starring the bride and groom as badasses? Everything.

Mary Poppins is an inspiration to nannies, broom sweepers and engaged couples alike. I think I like this trend — so long as nobody breaks into song.
