One of the wedding party surprised me with this mask to take pictures with. Loved it! Also, was appropriate since I made the entrance to the reception music the Star Wars theme song… without telling anyone else.

It’s not hard to spot the ones who weren’t sure what we meant by “Blue Steel.” Even the ringbearer was doing his best.

My grandparents were married in December 1945, while my grandfather was still in the Navy. He heard he could have leave about 12 days before it began, so my grandmother and her mother had a very short period of time to throw together a wedding. She phoned her girlfriends and said “wear any pastel dress and you’ll be pretty!” The ushers wore whatever their best suit was. My dad put this up for my sister and her husband the week of their wedding. She was also in a movie: Magic In The Water, hence the “Magic In Seattle” title

I had the top of our wedding cake re-made for our one year anniversary and this happened on the way to dinner! It wasn’t funny at the time but I have been laughing about it ever since.
